Palais Bahia

Set in tranquil gardens of some 2 acres and built in the late 19th century, the palace was named ‘Bahia’ meaning brilliant as it was intended to be the largest and best palace of its time. Built in two separate sections, the older part was built by Si Moussa, vizier to the Sultan Sidi Mohammed ben Abderrahman. The newer part was built by his son Ba Ahmed, vizier to Moulay Abdelaziz. The rooms of the palace open onto courtyards full of fruit trees, fountains and pools.
