Loukach: Medersa and Mosque

The so-called “loukach” mosque is a marvellous example of the conservation of historical monuments in Tétouan. This religious building was built in 1758 by Caid Omar Loukach by order of the Alawite Sultan Sidi Mohamed Ibn Abdellah.

You will also be surprised by the care taken with the architecture and decoration of the medersa (Koranic school), adjoining the building.
