Travel to Popa Falls – Impressive Rapids in the Okavango River
Popa Falls are a set of rapids on the Okavango River which has a drop of about 3 metres and extend across the full width of the river. The falls are most impressive during the rainy season.
After the Popa Falls the Okavango river spreads out to form the Okavango Delta.
The main attraction is naturally the falls themselves although you may also see two rare species here; the broadhead catfish and the ocellated spinyeel.
The main activity here is bird watching due to its rich bird life.
There is a rest camp in the Popa Game Park where you can relax.
