Travel to Southern Togo – Voodoo Lands & Atlantic Coast
With the fading capital of Lome at its far southeast corner close to the border with Ghana – said to be one of the most beautiful cities in West Africa – and Lake Togo and fine Atlantic beaches, tropical Southern Togo is the region most travellers usually head for.
Inland you’ll find coffee and cocoa plantations with old ruined chateaus, verdant forests, mountain villages and an abundance of beautiful butterflies.
- Spend a few days in the capital, Lomé – a friendly coastal city.
- Take a pirogue trip across the lake to the historic voodoo town of Togoville.
- Head out on foot and hike in the jungle-clad hills which surround Mount Klouto.
